Non-Residential Retreats Non-Residential Retreats Awareness and Wisdom Integrated Home Retreat (Online Zoom format) Taught by Andrea Fella Inspired by the teachings of Sayadaw U Tejaniya. August 22-28, 2020; 7:30 – 9:30am; 3:30 – 4:30pm During this weeklong online retreat, we will explore a relaxed open awareness with an emphasis on exploring qualities of mind, and the attitude towards one’s experience. Such an open awareness practice supports both the formal meditation of sitting and walking, as well as awareness of our normal daily activities. The emphasis for this week will be exploring integrating awareness into our whole day and all activities. This event requires registration. After registration, you will receive the Zoom link information. Please contact Yosh Haggerty to register at email@example.com. To support the practice during this online retreat, Andrea asks that you commit to attending all seven daily instruction sessions when you register. Each day, there will also be an optional discussion and Q&A session. Schedule (times are given in Pacific Daylight Time): 7:30 – 9:30 am Instruction, Guided Meditation, and Discussion (includes a short break) (Please commit to attending this session each day) 3:30 – 4:30 pm: Optional Discussion and Q&A session Andrea Fella has been practicing Insight Meditation since 1996 and began teaching meditation in 2003. Daily Life Practice Non-Residential Retreat at IMC Taught by Andrea Fella Integrating practice into our daily lives can be difficult. Many of us need support for this challenging but rewarding aspect of practice. During this twice-yearly event, we will integrate formal practice and Dharma discussion with our daily life by surrounding our usual workweek and workdays with practice and discussion. We begin with a half-day retreat with instructions and discussion on Sunday and end with a daylong retreat on the following Saturday. During the week we will meet each morning and evening to inspire, encourage and support our daily life practice. If you would like to attend the retreat during the week, please attend the Sunday session. The Sunday and Saturday sessions are open to all; the Monday and Thursday evening programs are also open to all as usual — the retreat will integrate with these evening programs. Please see the calendar for specific dates.
