Course Description: This course is based on Gil Fronsdal’s five-week Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation class. We spend a week each on working with breath, body, emotions, thoughts and daily life. The course includes recorded talks, written materials, daily emails and weekly reflections. In addition, 5 weeks of personal support is offered to participants by experienced meditation mentors either by email or video conferencing at a pre-arranged time. (Gil does not offer any personal support). The course material is not live, so it can be done at any time during the day. The course may also be Audited without personal teacher support. If you choose to register for teacher support, please take this commitment seriously: a volunteer experienced meditator will be reserving weekly time for you. Historically we have offered it in the fall and sometimes at other times of year. However, it is likely that we will begin offering it early in the new year to accommodate volunteer availability.
