Please join us in a gathering to represent non-human beings on Earth who are no less wise than we are (perhaps more so), but who do not have an opportunity to make their voices heard. This is a powerful practice which was taught by Joanna Macy to open ourselves to connect with our more-than-human kin and not just speak for them, but allow them to speak through us.
The invitation is to come as another being — either animal, plant, or element (such as air, water or soil). Let your imagination and creativity flow. You might make a mask to come as a tiger, or bring a branch to come as a tree, or a pour water from a pitcher into a bowl to be a waterfall. Taking on this form and feeling how it is to inhabit this being at this time, we will each introduce ourselves. We will share the challenges we are facing — what is making it difficult for you to survive and thrive at the is time. Then each will share what wisdom they have to impart to human kin.
