Topic: Bearing Witness: Grief and Resilience on the Frontlines of Climate Work
Offered by Ram Appalaraju
Frontline environmental workers carry a weight most people never see: the grief of watching the land, wildlife, and communities they’ve dedicated their lives to protecting change faster than they can keep up. Ram Appalaraju surveyed workers across federal agencies and nonprofits about this toll — and the responses were raw. Nearly everyone reported carrying serious emotional strain from their work right now. Join us for a one-hour session where we’ll share what these workers told us, in their own words, about grief, burnout, and what real support could look like. We’ll talk honestly about why the usual wellness tips don’t cut it here — and what does. If you care about the people doing this work, come join the conversation.
