Dharma Friends

Dharma Friends events encourage spiritually-based friendships and a sense of community in our sangha. All sangha members are welcome to our events and may bring friends.

There is no cost for classes, events or retreats at IMC. No pre-registration is required unless otherwise stated.

We encourage sangha members to submit ideas for new events. We’re also here to support you through the process of planning and/or hosting them if you need it. Here are some guidelines and ideas to help you..

    And upcoming  NEW book

Next Zoom meeting: Friday, 4/10/26 from 5-6:30 p.m. Pacific time

Plan for the Next Two Weeks
4/10 Finish our current book, The Dhammapada

Chapter 26. The Brahmin. Starting with stanza 369.

Test using Dharma talk transcripts as the basis of our meeting. For the rest of the meeting we will discuss the transcripts a few of Gil’s talks from earlier this year.  If we like this approach we may tackle a whole Gil series in this way in the future. Attached you will find a “Machine generated transcript” of 4 Gil talks from his series on Love. Having a paper copy will help us with our discussions. The links to the actual talks are below.

1/5/25 talk: Dharmette: Love (1) Introduction to the Brahmaviharas
